I’ve never been one to make new year resolutions because most resolutions are non-specific promises that go unfilled. One thing that I DO plan to do in this new year is to take time to celebrate myself.
All too often, we get caught up in our day-to-day and we don’t take the time to admire and enjoy what we have accomplished. Life will always have its ups and downs, but we tend to focus on the negative versus celebrating all of the positive we have experienced.
The past few years have been challenging for many of us, and has made focusing on the negative much easier. The pandemic has made the basic human need for connection very challenging, and our political climate only exacerbates the problems. That is why it is so important to take time out to celebrate ourselves.
A bubble bath and a bottle of champagne is a wonderful way to wind down at the end of the week. Maybe it’s room service and a movie, Or a night at the theater.
Looking back on the past year, ask yourself if you have taken the time to celebrate YOU. To take time out of your week or month to just BE an BE HAPPY. If not, then now is the perfect opportunity to start the new year with momentum. Contact me and let’s brainstorm some ways that I can help you celebrate a year of hard work and lay the foundation for full self-appreciation in this new year.
